Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Consultant, you will collaborate with federal clients to enhance the efficiency of their financial operations. This includes managing intra-governmental transactions, overseeing treasury account symbol reporting, and ensuring compliance with evolving federal financial reporting standards. Your expertise will be vital in assisting a federal CFO organization to identify, design, and implement transformative processes that will lead to sustainable improvements in their finance functions.

This position involves working within a high-performing team to support a DOJ entity in refining their reimbursable agreements and reporting mechanisms. You will be responsible for evaluating management practices, ensuring robust internal controls, and recommending actionable process enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in federal financial accounting and be adept at organizing, reviewing, and reconciling extensive accounting data. Your primary focus will be on developing financial reports, reconciling data from various sources, and pinpointing areas for operational efficiencies.


Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship with the ability to secure a Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in federal financial management, auditing, or accounting
  • Comprehensive understanding of the federal budget execution lifecycle, accounting practices, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with Federal Accounting, Intra-Governmental activities, Federal USSGL, and Budget Execution (Reimbursable Funding)
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large datasets from multiple accounting systems


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CGFM, PMP, or similar professional certification
  • Skills in analytics, automation, and business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps)
  • Experience with Federal Financial Management systems, particularly CGI Momentum and business intelligence software
  • In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards
