Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Oversee the execution of financial policies and procedures to ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing audit findings and provide recommendations for improved operational efficiencies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to analyze existing processes and suggest necessary corrective measures.
  • Participate in meetings and offer on-site client support as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management, or relevant certifications (CPA, CISA, PMP, CGFM, CDFM) along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in federal financial management and 2 years in federal accounting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in internal controls within a DoD or military context.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate internal control and risk management concepts effectively.
  • A solid grasp of financial statement audits and familiarity with A-123 standards.
  • The capability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in conveying internal control concepts clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
  • The ability to collaborate with stakeholders to enhance risk management practices across various divisions.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
