Role Overview

The Program Coordinator will support the designated program/site with various programmatic and administrative functions essential to the agency's operations.


Candidate Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in business, nonprofit, or public administration preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in program assistance and/or administrative roles; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Experience in coordinating meeting logistics and availability for evening meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a calendar of critical deadlines for program reports, evaluations, and other essential dates.
  • Pre-screen and assist applicants with eligibility determination and enrollment processes.
  • Manage incoming calls, take messages, and route correspondence appropriately.
  • Assist in preparing and duplicating program reports and related documentation.
  • Provide information packets to individuals seeking details about Brighter Beginnings.
  • Organize and file all correspondence and program-related documents, including meeting summaries.
  • Order and manage office supplies for the program.
  • Input client data into the database accurately.
  • Coordinate community donation initiatives, such as clothing drives and food bank distributions.
  • Support and coordinate special projects, activities, or events as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist with client enrollment and service delivery as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Requirements

This position requires successful completion of a background check, a negative TB test or clear chest x-ray, a physical exam, and updated vaccination records.

The physical examination must confirm the employee's ability to meet the job's physical demands, including lifting, walking, driving, stooping, bending, and twisting.
