Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Program Assistant Coordinator to orchestrate and/or facilitate educational, recreational, and enrichment initiatives as part of our East Bay After School Programs at Lockwood STEAM Academy. Role Purpose:

The Assistant Coordinator's primary function is to offer additional daily administrative and logistical assistance for the Expanded Learning Program. This role provides practical experience for Program Instructors who are prepared to embrace greater responsibilities while ensuring student engagement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing multiple priorities and adhering to strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Coordinator in all facets of daily operations at the school site
  • Support the Program Coordinator in ensuring the safety and supervision of the program
  • Design, plan, and lead engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
  • Foster a safe and positive emotional environment within the classroom and on campus
