Youth Program Coordinator

Position Overview
The role of the Program Assistant is crucial in supporting the operational aspects of our youth development initiatives. This part-time position focuses on administrative tasks, attendance management, and the coordination of sports logistics, ensuring that our programs run effectively and efficiently. The Program Assistant will report directly to the designated Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate attendance records in the designated student information system.
- Generate daily attendance reports to track student participation.
- Oversee the submission of attendance records by afterschool staff to ensure compliance.
- Verify student absence information provided by parents or guardians.
- Compile and analyze daily and weekly attendance reports, including mandated monthly Average Daily Attendance.
- Coordinate logistics for student sports activities, including roster management and game scheduling.
- Provide coverage for classes as needed in the event of staff absences.
Qualifications
- Must possess TB clearance and background checks from relevant authorities.
- Completion of 48 semester college units or successful passing of the Instructional Aide exam.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, educators, and community stakeholders.
- Proficient in computer skills, including typing and data entry.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Alignment with the mission and core values of Oakland Leaf.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
Working Conditions
- Standard office and school environment.
- Attendance at offsite meetings may be required.
- Availability to work evenings for special events.
- Physical ability to lift items up to 25 pounds.
Compensation
- Hourly wage ranging from $20 to $25, based on experience.
- Paid time off during school breaks.
