Job Summary

The Fixed Asset Coordinator is a critical role within Circle K, responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of company assets. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify that all company assets are properly recorded and accounted for in our Fixed Asset system.
  • Maintain a detailed log of asset status, including in-service dates and retirements.
  • Review and validate asset entries in our Project Management system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Compile and report capital spending data on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and process asset-related transactions, including invoices and financial documentation.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented and substantiated with supporting evidence.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our financial systems by ensuring adherence to internal controls and SOX regulations.
  • Provide accounting guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate controls and procedures.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of asset records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • One to two years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Access required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Fixed Asset management software a plus.
