About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Sales Executive to join our team at Penn Foster Inc. as a Strategic Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for selling software solutions to large retail and grocery accounts, leveraging your expertise in supply chain management and enterprise-level sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute territory or customer account plans to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers as a trusted advisor, leveraging your expertise to drive strategy and growth.
  • Actively understand each customer's technology footprint, strategic growth plans, and technology strategy to stay up-to-date on key industry trends and issues.
  • Plan and conduct customer discovery sessions to gain valuable insights and construct innovative customer presentations to position our solutions.
  • Advance and close sales opportunities through the successful execution of sales strategies and roadmaps, managing interactions with customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Manage customer service issues and escalations, elevating unresolved issues as needed.
  • Understand our competition and effectively position our solutions against them to meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of comprehensive business plans to address customer priorities and pain points.
  • Leverage support organizations, including marketing, inside sales, partners, and channels, to funnel pipeline into assigned customer territories.
  • Orchestrate resources to execute winning sales, developing coordination and leadership skills to successfully close new business.
  • Maintain CRM systems with accurate customer and pipeline information, updating software sales forecasts accurately.
  • Maximize the value of sales support organizations, ensuring teams and partners are well-versed in each account strategy.
  • Balance deal transaction acceleration through effective negotiations with prospects or customers during the sales cycle.
  • Follow established business processes for services to draft, approve, and negotiate contracts with customers.
  • Follow established delivery handoff procedures to ensure customers efficiently, transparently, and fluidly transition from sales to delivery.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in large software company sales, with a proven track record of success in enterprise-level, complex software sales.
  • Cloud and ERP sales experience, as well as SCM (supply chain management) solutions and license and services experience.
  • Proven quota attainment record, with a minimum of $2M annual quota achievement.
  • Experience in a team-based selling environment.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more within the U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
