Job Title: Editor - Personal Loans

We are seeking an experienced Editor to join our team at Credible, a leading marketplace for personalized, prequalified rates and quotes from multiple lenders and carriers. As an Editor, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality content for our personal loans vertical.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience editing personal finance content and a strong background in SEO best practices. You will be responsible for editing explainers, reviews, lender roundups, and news articles, as well as contributing to lender research and analysis to inform "best of" lender lists and reviews.

Responsibilities:
  • Edit personal loans articles for Credible and media partners
  • Thoroughly fact-check content
  • Optimize articles for SEO using keywords, tables, visuals, and other tools
  • Work with and mentor freelance writers to ensure quality content
  • Help create content briefs for writers based on topic ideas and SEO recommendations
  • Assist senior editors with content projects as needed
  • Assist with lender research and analysis to inform product methodologies
  • Occasionally write content
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and continually expand your knowledge of personal loans and related products
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience editing personal finance content
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organization, and strong project management skills
  • Experience working within Asana, Google Docs, and other content and task management systems, as well as familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs and Semrush
Location:

Credible is open to hiring candidates in the following locations: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin

Compensation:

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay ranges for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, are listed below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

For high cost of labor markets such as but not limited to New York City and San Francisco: $64,800—$86,400 USD

For all other US locations: $54,000—$72,000 USD
