Senior Cannabis Sales Leader

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive customer service experience and passion for cannabis to lead a team of 5-10 cannabis professionals, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our communities.

Position Responsibilities:

The Senior Cannabis Sales Leader serves as a shift supervisor, effectively managing the team throughout the shift to optimize support for customers and team members. This position assists Store Management in guiding retail associates to uphold a superior cannabis experience for our clientele and assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of Store Management.

Guided by a 'Balanced Scorecard' framework that emphasizes People, Process/Technology, Customer, and Finance, the Sales Leader plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that fosters unique customer service opportunities.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  1. People: Communicates effectively with team members, promptly addressing issues and concerns, and relaying information to management for swift resolution.
  2. Process/Technology: Efficiently manages store operations, ensuring a clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing sales floor while accurately processing transactions and holding team members accountable.
  3. Customer: Actively educates the team on industry knowledge and product information, engages with a diverse range of customers, resolves customer service challenges, and encourages the team to deliver friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service.
  4. Finance: Maintains exemplary cash handling practices, adheres to company operational policies, and collaborates with store leadership to enhance business acumen and achieve team objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in retail, service, or hospitality
  • 2+ years of experience in overseeing and leading shift and store operations
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct feedback to employees
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly demeanor, engaging personality, and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to adapt and work in various roles based on business needs
  • Solid management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback promptly
  • Approachable, mindful, and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting
  • Valid Marijuana's Handlers Permit
  • Compliance with all legal and company regulations in the cannabis industry
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Genuine interest in the cannabis industry and alignment with Gw Ind's mission
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily
  • Ability to maintain focus in environments with distractions
  • Occasional use of PPE such as safety glasses and dust masks
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
