Role Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will leverage your extensive customer service experience and genuine interest in cannabis to lead a group of 5-10 cannabis professionals, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our communities.

Position Responsibilities:

The Senior Cannabis Sales Leader will serve as a shift supervisor, effectively coordinating the team throughout the shift to best meet customer needs and support team members. This role assists Store Management in guiding retail associates to uphold a superior cannabis shopping experience and acts as the Manager on Duty when Store Management is unavailable.

Utilizing a 'Balanced Scorecard' approach that emphasizes People, Process/Technology, Customer, and Finance, the Sales Leader contributes to the shop's objective of creating a welcoming atmosphere that fosters unique customer service opportunities.

Key Areas of Accountability:

People: Communicates effectively with team members, promptly addressing issues or concerns and relaying them to management for swift resolution.

Process/Technology: Efficiently manages store opening and closing procedures, maintains a clean and well-stocked sales floor, and ensures accurate transaction processing while holding team members accountable.

Customer: Actively educates the team on industry knowledge and product information, connects with a diverse range of customers, resolves customer service challenges, and inspires the team to deliver friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service.

Finance: Maintains exemplary cash handling practices, adheres to company operational policies, and collaborates with store leadership to enhance business acumen and achieve team objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in retail, service, or hospitality
  • 2+ years of experience overseeing and leading shift and store operations
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct feedback to employees
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly demeanor, engaging manner, and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to adapt and work in various roles based on business needs
  • Solid management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback promptly
  • Approachable, mindful, and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regional commuting
  • Valid Marijuana Handlers Permit
  • Compliance with all legal and company regulations for the cannabis industry
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Interest in the cannabis industry and alignment with Groundworks' mission
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily
  • Ability to maintain focus in environments with distractions
  • Ability to use PPE as necessary
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
