Role Overview:

In this position, you will leverage your extensive customer service experience and either a strong passion for or genuine curiosity about cannabis. You will join a team of 5-10 cannabis professionals, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our communities.

Position Responsibilities:

The Senior Cannabis Sales Leader will act as a shift supervisor, effectively deploying the team throughout the shift to best support customers and team members. This role assists Store Management in guiding a team of retail associates to ensure a superior cannabis experience for our clientele and serves as the Manager on Duty in the absence of Store Management.

Utilizing a 'Balanced Scorecard' approach that emphasizes People, Process/Technology, Customer, and Finance, the Sales Leader will support the shop's objective of fostering a welcoming environment that creates unique customer service opportunities.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  1. People: Communicate effectively with team members, promptly addressing issues or concerns and sharing them with management to facilitate quick resolutions.
  2. Process/Technology: Efficiently manage store opening and closing procedures, maintain a clean and well-stocked sales floor, and accurately process transactions while holding team members accountable.
  3. Customer: Actively educate the team on industry science and product knowledge, engage with a diverse range of customers, resolve customer service challenges, and encourage the team to deliver service in a friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable manner.
  4. Finance: Exhibit exemplary cash handling skills, adhere to company operational policies, and collaborate with store leadership to develop business acumen and achieve team goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in retail, service, or hospitality
  • 2+ years of experience overseeing and leading shift and store operations
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct feedback to employees
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly demeanor, engaging manner, and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to adapt and work in various roles based on business needs
  • Solid management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in a timely manner
  • Approachable, mindful, and positive attitude
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting among locations
  • Valid Marijuana's Handlers Permit
  • Compliance with all legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Interest in the cannabis industry and alignment with Gw Ind's mission
  • Internal candidates must have been in their current position for at least six months

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily
  • Ability to maintain focus in environments with distractions
  • Ability to use PPE as needed
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
