Position Overview:

The Royalty Revenue Coordinator is tasked with overseeing and documenting all income streams related to royalties. This role is crucial in ensuring that payments to rights holders are accurate and timely, while also providing essential financial reports and analyses to both management and finance teams. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment. This position is office-based and may involve working under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track royalty income from a variety of sources.
  • Collaborate with legal and accounting departments to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Reconcile royalty statements with internal documentation and address any discrepancies.
  • Conduct research across both internal and external systems, reviewing income reports and making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate income flow from compositions.
  • Generate regular financial reports that detail royalty income and distributions.
  • Assist in the enhancement and development of royalty tracking systems and processes.
  • Provide support during financial audits concerning royalty income.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in royalty accounting or a comparable financial tracking position.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with intellectual property law and rights management.
  • Experience with royalty tracking software platforms.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $65,000 to $85,000. This is an exempt salaried position, and we provide full medical and dental benefits along with a 401(K) plan. Wise Music/G.
