Job Description

Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain strategic procurement solutions to meet the needs of our programs.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal/Requests for Quote, perform cost analysis, and develop negotiation strategies.
  • Construct various contracting types for major procurement activities, including long-range procurement agreements and sourcing partnerships.
  • Take ownership of the procurement process from requisition creation through final payment of invoices.
  • Lead the identification, implementation, negotiation, execution, and management of strategic agreements.
  • Support the overall procurement organization's strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related degree.
  • Strong analytical skills, data-driven, and experience in establishing and tracking program metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Working understanding of AS9100 standards and knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications and source control drawings.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Current active DOD Secret Security Clearance and/or Special Access.
  • Experience in Avionics.
