Outdoor Marketing Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outdoor Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating the engagement of Bass Pro Shops (BPS), Cabela's, and White River Marine Group's (WRMG) extensive network of professional outdoor athletes and ambassadors across various owned and shared platforms to advance key business goals.
This role entails the implementation of marketing initiatives centered around fishing professionals, hunting advocates, and shooting experts to achieve our business objectives while enhancing brand visibility and reputation.
The Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams including brand management, creative design, social media, and communications, assisting in pro staff-driven marketing collaborations and campaigns aimed at positioning BPS/WRMG as a leader in the outdoor industry.
This position will also liaise with store associates and dealer partners to evaluate and support pro staff activities nationwide.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in executing the pro staff marketing strategy in alignment with key stakeholders and leadership.
Identify pro staff, teams, and organizations for broader partnership opportunities that align with business goals.
Assess incoming pro staff opportunities from stores and dealer partners, developing activation plans accordingly.
Research new pro staff talent that aligns with our brand and target demographics.
Create an annual marketing strategy centered around pro staff programs and individuals that support the overall business plan.
Manage relationships with local, regional, state, and national pro staff members as designated by leadership.
Oversee the fulfillment of pro staff requests, appearances, product orders, and other needs as they arise from pros, partners, or vendors.
Collaborate with communications and social media teams to enhance pro staff activities across owned and shared channels.Report on key performance metrics to evaluate the success of pro staff engagements and campaigns.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in Sports Marketing, Partnerships, or Integrated Marketing, with previous in-house brand experience being advantageous.
Demonstrated passion and knowledge of the outdoor industry, including familiarity with top anglers, hunting/shooting professionals, tournaments, and leagues.
Industry-savvy, with the ability to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the outdoor sports culture.
Exceptional communication skills, valuing relationship-building with both external partners and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management abilities, demonstrating autonomy and adherence to timelines.
Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of the industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Adept at reading documents, reports, and other written communications
Capable of writing, typing, and utilizing phone systems
