Position Overview

Autodesk is in search of a seasoned Lead Manager, Event Coordination to become a vital part of our Brand Events & Experiences division. This position entails overseeing all facets of event operations for our market launch initiatives, enhancing employee and partner engagement, and driving significant business outcomes.

The perfect candidate will possess certification in event management and have 8-10+ years of substantial experience in enterprise event operations, demonstrating a successful history of managing large-scale technology events with over 5,000 participants while delivering impactful results within budget constraints.

You will report directly to the Director of Operations, Events & Experiences.

Location: Remote USA or Canada

Responsibilities

+ Oversee all operational components of Autodesk's market launch program, which includes venue selection, vendor coordination, registration management, accommodation arrangements, transportation logistics, catering services, and additional production activities.

+ Administer event schedules, resources, and deliverables from Autodesk and vendors, ensuring high-quality standards and seamless execution.

+ Develop and oversee the event budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness, including regular budget updates and reconciliations.

+ Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to guarantee smooth execution, exceptional event experiences, and foster an environment of inclusivity and knowledge sharing.

+ Collaborate with various internal sales, customer success, and marketing teams to realize the program vision, often finding compromises and providing recommendations while ensuring operational efficiencies and best practices.

+ Supervise all on-site event activities, address any issues that arise, and ensure the event operates smoothly, while also ensuring compliance with security, health, and safety regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality, communications, business, or a related field, along with relevant event and meeting planning certifications.

+ Extensive experience in event operations, with a focus on planning and executing mid-to-large-scale events (5,000+ attendees), preferably internal conferences. Experience managing large-scale sales kick-off programs for a technology company is a plus.

+ Proven ability to manage 8-figure budgets, with a track record of delivering high-quality events within those financial parameters.

+ Experience in both digital and in-person event settings, with comprehensive knowledge of managing internal and external production teams.

+ Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels; a collaborative nature, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role.

+ A creative mindset focused on enhancing customer experience and engagement.

+ Familiarity with a wide range of event technologies, registration systems, mobile applications, gamification, and event analytics.

+ High emotional intelligence and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes.

+ Adaptability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, maintaining composure under pressure.

+ Willingness to travel as necessary for events and conferences.
