**About the Role**

Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team in Kent, WA. As a key member of our Lunar Permanence business unit, you will play a critical role in the development of our Blue Moon lander product lines.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Participate in the requirements, design, architecture, verification, and certification of the Lunar Lander Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).
  • Coordinate with vehicle subsystem teams to define test requirements and integrate their subsystems in the VTB.
  • Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses.
  • Support the integration of flight avionics, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of the flight software.
  • Support problem investigation and resolution.
  • Develop the VTB integration and change management plans.
  • Maintain configuration control of the VTB HW and SW configuration.

**Requirements**

  • B.S. in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Industry experience with avionics systems integration and verification.
  • Excellent problem investigation skills and proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment.
  • Experience defining, designing, and building avionics labs, electrical ground support equipment, and/or test assets for hardware in the loop testing.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • M.S. degree in Systems, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering.
  • Experience with verification of communication and radio systems in integrated laboratories.
  • Experience with DO-178 and/or NASA NPR 7150.
  • Experience with mission operations and ground data systems.
