**Avionics Systems Engineer**

**About the Role**
Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team in Kent, WA. As a key member of our Lunar Permanence business unit, you will play a critical role in the development of our Blue Moon lander product lines.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in the requirements, design, architecture, verification, and certification of the Lunar Lander Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).
- Coordinate with vehicle subsystem teams to define test requirements and integrate their subsystems in the VTB.
- Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses.
- Support the integration of flight avionics, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of the flight software.
- Support problem investigation and resolution.
- Develop the VTB integration and change management plans.
- Maintain configuration control of the VTB HW and SW configuration.
**Requirements**
- B.S. in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Industry experience with avionics systems integration and verification.
- Excellent problem investigation skills and proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment.
- Experience defining, designing, and building avionics labs, electrical ground support equipment, and/or test assets for hardware in the loop testing.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- M.S. degree in Systems, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering.
- Experience with verification of communication and radio systems in integrated laboratories.
- Experience with DO-178 and/or NASA NPR 7150.
- Experience with mission operations and ground data systems.
