Job Overview

At Archetype Permanent Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a sales pipeline that drives growth and revenue objectives within the marine and power generation markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and close business opportunities in marine and power generation according to specific targets.
  • Develop new and existing client base through early engagement and positioning, consultative selling prior to request for quotation.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of segment/markets specific solutions and needs.
  • Evaluate inquiries and register/maintain opportunities information.
  • Initiate contact with assigned and new potential accounts, cultivate good business relationships with key decision makers, and ascertain leads.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations in an effective manner by technical presentations.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends & government regulations.
  • Sales plan development to ensure order and revenue growth.
  • Service plan development to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep management informed through regular activity reports and communications.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences related to the industry.
  • Manage customer relationship and communicate customer feedback internally through proper channels.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills; interpersonal and business savvy.
  • The ideal candidate will have MRO (Marine Repair Operator) experience at any capacity.
  • Ability to operate as a team player.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in marine and/or power generation market segments.
  • Experience in the controls and/or automation industries.
  • Experience with Woodward products an advantage.
  • Outside sales; customer service.
  • Proven record of identifying, qualifying, pursuing and capturing opportunities and track record.
  • Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities and customers.
  • Fluency in English, other languages welcome.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • An additional 10 years of experience in outside sales and application engineering in relation to customer support services, can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
