POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a proactive Central U.S. Technical Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in reinforcing King Lee Technologies' reputation as a frontrunner in the water treatment sector. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in technical sales, particularly in reverse osmosis systems, and must be open to frequent travel while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development and Expansion

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Deliver product training and demonstrations through webinars, presentations, and technical workshops.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to foster relationships.
  • Explore potential for expanding territory.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage the entire customer relationship lifecycle from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Develop strategic plans for sales visits.
  • Maintain communication with existing clients.
  • Prepare bids, proposals, and pricing quotations.
  • Provide comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales support.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms effectively.
  • Establish connections with consulting engineers, water treatment facility managers, and key distributors.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by building trust through professional relationships.
  • Achieve and exceed established sales targets.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Manage territory documentation, ensuring thorough pre-call and post-call records via the company's CRM system.
  • Utilize available resources in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Analyze cost and sales performance metrics.
  • Adhere to all corporate sales promotional guidelines.
  • Employ strategic thinking to formulate and implement quarterly and semi-annual action plans.
  • Navigate the client journey through all sales process stages using CRM tools.

Collaborative Efforts

  • Engage in cross-departmental collaboration with sales, marketing, technical, and operational teams.
  • Work closely with the marketing manager to generate leads and follow up on prospects.
  • Utilize marketing materials effectively during the sales process to ensure brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with other regional sales representatives to drive business growth.
  • Coordinate with the technical department to stay informed on product advancements and provide feedback as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or chemistry is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with water treatment systems is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4 years of field sales or operational experience in the membrane water treatment industry.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in learning new software, with experience in video conferencing and CRM systems.
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel 50-70% of the time.
  • Residence within the assigned territory is required.
  • Experience with bulk chemicals or machinery is a plus.
  • Expertise in water industry operations, particularly reverse osmosis.
