Senior Product Marketing Manager for Developers

Discord is a platform that enables users to create communities and connect with others. We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to drive the go-to-market strategy and execution for our Developer ecosystem.
This role will involve developing a deep understanding of the Developer ecosystem, including its competitive and partnership landscape. You'll use this insight to inform go-to-market strategy and key narratives, and quarterback cross-functional teams to execute on world-class product launches and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities- Go-to-Market Planning and Execution: Develop a go-to-market strategy grounded in market awareness and customer empathy to acquire new Developers and improve adoption of Developer tools and products.
- Messaging and Positioning: Develop clear, cohesive, differentiated messaging that lands the value proposition and the 'why' with key audience segments.
- Market Awareness: Gain an in-depth understanding of the Developer ecosystem and use this insight to inform go-to-market strategy and key narratives.
- Voice of the Customer: Be the expert on our target audience segments and act as the internal champion for the customer, ensuring their needs guide our marketing strategies and inform our product roadmap.
- Content Strategy and Development: Develop a content strategy that meets the user where they are at each phase in their journey, including videos, product demos, case studies, training materials, etc.
- 7+ years of product marketing experience, including 3+ years of experience with a Developer audience.
- A deep empathy for Developers and passion for Discord's mission and the role Developers have to play in the growth of the business.
- A strategic thinker who is curious, resilient, goal-oriented with a bias for action, and can look at the big picture to connect dots and create clarity in an often ambiguous environment.
- An exceptional communicator that creates clarity for internal and external customers through intentional, organized verbal and written communication.
- The ability to lead effectively through influence and comfortable working cross-functionally across the entire business, catalyzing and inspiring teams to align behind a common goal and do their best work.
- Stellar writing and content creation skills, including compelling video scripts, articles for user education.
- A growth mindset. Someone who views learning as a lifelong journey and is constantly looking to expand their tools and knowledge to become a better version of themselves.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $185,000 to $203,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
