POSITION OVERVIEW
The Regional Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with providing guidance and oversight to multiple Extended Stay America properties within a designated area.

This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager and is accountable for ensuring that all assigned properties are maintained in optimal condition, adhering to the Extended Stay America Green Shield program.

The Regional Maintenance Supervisor (RMS) will collaborate with facility teams across the region to address maintenance needs, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, minimize operational costs, and uphold a work environment that aligns with Extended Stay America's operational standards.

This role also involves overseeing facility projects to decrease the number of out-of-service rooms, limit reliance on external contractors to reduce costs, and provide training and support for Maintenance Technicians within the region.

The RMS will foster effective relationships with all Extended Stay America cross-functional teams and operational leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Deliver training, mentorship, and development opportunities to both new and existing Maintenance Technicians within the region to cultivate a high-performing team.

Exhibit accountability for safety, maintenance, repair, parts inventory management, data quality, technology utilization, and management services for assigned locations.

Demonstrate mechanical proficiency in understanding facility management and maintenance tasks (e.g., roofing, drywall, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Ensure consistency in regional processes, protocols, and corporate initiatives.
Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support facility programs, including strategic vendor management.
Provide prompt and efficient customer service in the assigned area, addressing any issues with professionalism.

Evaluate operational metrics, offering insights on trends and implementing timely actions to rectify performance challenges while identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

Ensure that maintenance tasks comply with all state, federal, and company regulations.

Identify systematic improvement opportunities and implement best practices in safety, operations, and maintenance to achieve operational excellence across all locations within the assigned area.


PROJECT LEADERSHIP
Oversee assigned projects: establish timelines, allocate resources, and address any obstacles to achieving defined goals.

Act as a subject matter expert and resource for Maintenance Technicians and operational leaders in facilities management, safety, and compliance.

Formulate data-driven recommendations to enhance current processes and programs related to facility operations, ensuring maximum performance through collaboration with the Regional Asset Manager and regional operations leader.

Additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Respond to emergencies as required.
Participate in specific property or regional projects as directed by the regional operations leader.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the regional operations leader.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED; or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Willingness to continuously learn and apply industry trends.
Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
Proven negotiation and influencing capabilities, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with proper painting techniques and paint selection.
Knowledge of drywall patching and texturing procedures.
Understanding of caulking techniques and appropriate caulk selection.
Basic plumbing repair knowledge.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in operations or facility maintenance.
Experience in project management.
Leadership experience overseeing multiple Maintenance associates and locations, including remote sites.
