About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Flow Coordinator to join our team at Indiana University Health. As a key member of our Hospitalist Department, you will be responsible for coordinating all consult, admission, and transfer activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate consult, admission, and transfer activities for the Hospitalist Department
  • Create and maintain physicians' patient lists
  • Manage patient and provider post-discharge requests
  • Coordinate physician assignments and admission orders
  • Communicate effectively with the Hospitalists department and other departments
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program preferred
  • Prior experience working in an admitting, bed management, patient placement/throughput setting preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with business partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of staff
