Job Title: Office Manager

At The Academy for Technology and the Classics, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to support the administrative operations of our school. This is a 12-month contract position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial transactions, accounts payable, and enrollment processes
  • Organize and schedule registration for incoming students
  • Process paperwork for disenrolling students and communicate with the Director of Academics and Advising
  • Manage school-related money, prepare deposits, and make daily deposits
  • Process accounts payable and receivables twice monthly or as needed
  • Work with the school business manager to monitor the school's budget and expenditures
  • Perform administrative tasks in support of the school's Governing Council, including publishing meeting notices, agendas, packets, minutes, and file management
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education and/or equivalent experience in business operations, public administration, bookkeeping, accounting, or related fields
  • Prior experience in a public school administrative setting is preferred
  • Literate Spanish language skills are strongly preferred
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
  • Experience with office equipment like printers, copiers, and phone systems
  • Ability to learn, apply, and follow rules, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to communicate with staff, parents, and others in an open, courteous, and professional manner
