Business Office Manager

The Business Office Manager at Santa Fe Care Center is responsible for maintaining complete and systematic records of financial transactions and various business office duties. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and computer knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee business office functions in records, accounting, billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, inventory and supply management
Direct billing functions, including accurate invoicing of all client services and ensuring reimbursement from governmental payers, insurance companies, clients, or client representatives in compliance with company standards
Ensure all bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner
Monitor services provided will be reimbursable (monitor tile levels, applied incomes, etc.)
Manage the Petty Cash/Credit Card Payments
Maintain all required and appropriate logs
Consult with department heads to resolve errors in accounts
Reconcile accounts and provide financial reports to Administrator upon request
Track census, census summary report, and obtain 24-hour nursing report from charge nurse
Interact with the general public, visitors, families, and residents
May act in an administrative capacity if so designated in the absence of Administrator
Receive and receipt payments in an accurate and timely manner. Record the details of financial transactions in appropriate journals and ledgers. Summarize and balance entries recording on individual journals and ledgers
Receipts, posts, and maintains accurate individual resident trust ledgers to meet Federal and State regulations. Reconcile to bank statements
Maximize office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications
Formulate procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of personnel and resident financial records
Understand and adhere to the guidelines of 'Residents Rights'
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:
A minimum of two years college required with emphasis on accounting and business. Must have 3 plus years business office experience. Must have working knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting to include Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing
