**Job Summary**

The Assistant Project Manager is a key role that supports the planning and execution of projects from creation to completion. This position is responsible for ensuring customer and organizational success factors are achieved within the prescribed project timeframe and funding parameters.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate and manage labor requirements, project materials, and resources in a collaborative work environment.
  • Assist in creating and implementing project plans in accordance with business requirements.
  • Help with bid coordination for projects, analyzing blueprints and spec sheets to determine material and labor requirements.
  • Assist with customer interactions to maintain relationships and secure future sales.
  • Ensure client needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in preparing project proposals, plans, and change orders.
  • Coordinate project activities with government regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Keep project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members informed about project progress and critical issues.
  • Develop and maintain project management standards and tools.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with Omni, OSHA, and local standards.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

Assist project managers and supervisors in planning, assigning, and directing work, as well as appraising performance and addressing complaints.

**Qualifications**

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Construction project management experience, preferably in the glass and glazing industry.
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic math and algebra skills, with an understanding of ruler measurements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and email communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using sound judgment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Quality-focused with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work extra hours as required by projects and workloads.
  • Experience with contract management and negotiation.

**Physical Demands**

  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with arms.
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Constantly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is occasionally moderate, with a focus on ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
