Position Summary:

The primary objective of this role is to execute the sourcing strategy for Sales Services & Customer Value, harnessing data to facilitate the transformation of innovations into impactful medications for patients. This encompasses Market Access, Marketing Data, Secondary Data Analysis, and Real World Data. The position will oversee US outsourcing services across the company's Therapeutic areas for Human Pharma, ensuring that the organization remains a leader in data-driven drug development and market access. We seek a forward-thinking, energetic professional with expertise in the pharmaceutical sector, evidence generation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Category Strategy in alignment with the global Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Enhance purchasing channels and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Introduce potential innovations to business intelligence and local market insights.
  • Utilize sourcing tools effectively (including RFX, parallel negotiation, etc.).
  • Identify, assess, and categorize sourcing risks while developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maximize the use of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) wherever applicable.
  • Identify and evaluate current and prospective local suppliers, fostering and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Provide necessary feedback to the Corporate Category Manager.
  • Actively manage local Business Partners and collaborate to align shared objectives.
  • Coordinate Business Partner demands within procurement, ensuring relevant information is disseminated and support is provided.
  • Possibly lead and drive regional procurement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Pharmaceutics, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Primary focus: Business Administration or Pharmaceutics.
  • Four to seven (4-7) years of experience in sourcing and category management.
