Senior Procurement Manager

Location: Ridgefield, CT (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $130k - $160k

Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior Procurement Manager to take charge of the sourcing strategy for Sales Services & Customer Value. This position is centered around leveraging data to foster innovations in transformative medicines for patients, covering areas such as Market Access, Marketing Data, Secondary Data Analysis, and Real World Data. The role entails managing US outsourcing services across diverse therapeutic domains in Human Pharma, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of data-driven drug development and market access. We seek a proactive and inventive professional with a strong background in the pharmaceutical sector, evidence generation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute Category Strategy aligned with the global Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Enhance purchasing channels and seize market opportunities.
  • Propose potential innovations and utilize local market insights.
  • Effectively apply sourcing tools (RFX, parallel negotiation, etc.).
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate sourcing risks.
  • Maximize the utilization of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs).
  • Evaluate and nurture relationships with current and prospective local suppliers.
  • Provide necessary feedback to the Corporate Category Manager.
  • Proactively manage and align with local Business Partners.
  • Coordinate Business Partner requirements within procurement, ensuring sufficient support and information exchange.
  • Possibly lead and drive regional procurement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Pharmaceutics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution (Master's degree preferred).
  • Focus area: Business Administration or Pharmaceutics.
  • 4-7 years of experience in category management and sourcing.
