Sourcing Manager

Position Overview:

The Sourcing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the procurement strategy for the organization. This position involves the development and execution of category strategies that align with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Category Strategy in accordance with the Target Operating Model (TOM) and enhance the corporate center-led approach.
  • Provide insights on potential innovations and gather intelligence from local markets.
  • Assess and categorize sourcing risks while developing effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal sourcing.
  • Facilitate the introduction of innovative solutions from the external marketplace.
  • Proactively address issues through Business Review Meetings and leverage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Work collaboratively with local Business Partners to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Optimize purchasing channels and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Utilize sourcing tools such as e-auctions and reverse auctions to enhance procurement processes.
  • Lead regional sourcing initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in category management.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Marketing or Meetings & Events is preferred.
  • Proven track record in Demand Management, Negotiation, and Project Management.
  • Experience in Contract Management and the RFP process, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and experience in collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a knack for influencing and achieving consensus among teams.

Educational Background:

A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in relevant fields such as Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Business Administration is required. A Bachelor's Degree with pertinent work experience may also be considered.
