Sourcing Manager, Pharmaceutical Procurement Expert

Location: Hybrid

Compensation: Competitive Salary [approximately $154K] – Hybrid, Comprehensive Benefits, Leading Corporation

OBJECTIVE: To execute the sourcing framework for Sales Services & Customer Value, harnessing data to facilitate the transformation of innovations into life-altering medications for patients. This role encompasses Market Access, Marketing Data, Secondary Data Analysis, and Real World Data. The individual will oversee US outsourcing services across Therapeutic areas for Human Pharma, ensuring the organization remains a leader in Data-driven drug development and market access. We seek a forward-thinking, dynamic professional with expertise in the pharmaceutical sector, evidence generation, AI, and machine learning.

Ideal Candidate: The preferred candidate will have experience as a Sourcing/Procurement Manager or Category Manager focused on Market Access.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops Category Strategy in alignment with the global Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Enhances purchasing channels and capitalizes on market opportunities.
  • Utilizes sourcing tools (including RFX, parallel negotiation, etc.).
  • Identifies, assesses, and categorizes sourcing risks while formulating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maximizes the use of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) where applicable.
  • Identifies and assesses current and potential local suppliers and fosters supplier relationships.
  • Provides insights to the Corporate Category Manager as necessary.
  • Actively manages local Business Partners and collaborates to achieve shared objectives.
  • Coordinates Business Partner Demands within procurement, ensuring relevant information is disseminated and Business Partners receive adequate support.
  • May lead and advance regional procurement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Pharmaceutics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Primary focus: Business Administration or Pharmaceutics.
  • Four to seven (4-7) years of experience in sourcing within category management.
  • The six core competencies include:

  • Market and Supplier Analysis
  • Negotiation
  • Total Cost of Ownership, Savings, and NPV
  • Project Management

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Willingness to undergo a drug test and post-offer physical examination (if required).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Candidate Profile: 5+ to 7 years of experience // Seniority Level - Mid-Senior

Management Experience Required: No // Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree
