Job Overview

The Senior Program Manager will oversee the commercialization journey for Ascend Wellness Holdings' product offerings, guiding them from the innovation stage through to launch, marketing strategies, and post-launch evaluations. This role requires leading teams to ensure the timely delivery of projects that span various business sectors, including both product innovation and market expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project timelines by collaborating with cross-functional teams across Product Development, Cultivation, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure efficient product commercialization.
  • Contribute to the establishment of practices, processes, tools, and partnerships to enhance the project management capabilities within the organization.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of market operations and technical aspects to effectively support project objectives.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and presentations to diverse audiences, including project teams, sponsors, and executive leadership.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle to guarantee successful implementation from initiation to launch for multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Assess current project timelines, identify team needs, and enhance timeline structures to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities among cross-functional partners.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in project management.
  • Facilitate effective team project meetings, establishing clear agendas and objectives to optimize team collaboration.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing integrated programs and strategies across departments, utilizing creative solutions to address project challenges.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks proactively, ensuring that potential issues are addressed before they escalate.
  • Ensure the project management team has access to the necessary tools and resources to maintain high levels of motivation and engagement.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional partners to collaboratively bring products and marketing initiatives to market successfully.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of project management experience in consumer packaged goods is essential. PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
  • Operational or engineering background is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including project management tools.
  • High emotional intelligence to effectively engage with diverse teams and clients.
  • Self-motivated and innovative, with the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex interpersonal relationships across various organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with BrandFolder is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time.
