Job Overview

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for delivering comprehensive nutrition services within the hospital setting, addressing the nutritional needs of patients across various departments. The role encompasses the following key responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough nutritional evaluations, including assessments focused on physical health.
  • Design and execute personalized nutrition care strategies, utilizing order writing authority.
  • Support the nutritional assessment process and collaborate on the formulation and execution of care plans.
  • Track patient progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide nutrition education to patients, healthcare staff, dietetic interns, and the broader community.
  • Adapt medical nutritional therapy standards to cater to the unique requirements of each patient, considering factors such as age, weight, medical history, and cultural background.
  • Engage in the enhancement and assessment of food service operations to optimize nutritional intake and patient satisfaction, ensuring compliance with dietary and medical guidelines.
  • Develop, uphold, and assess policies, programs, and improvement initiatives to guarantee superior nutrition care delivery.
Employment Type: Full-Time; 40 hours per week

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; availability for occasional weekends and holidays

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, along with a completed supervised practice or internship in dietetics.
  • Must possess Registered Dietitian status and obtain licensure in Minnesota within five months of hire.
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour
