Job Overview

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for delivering comprehensive nutrition services within the hospital setting, ensuring that all patients receive the necessary dietary support. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting thorough nutritional evaluations, including nutrition-focused physical assessments.
  • Creating and executing tailored nutrition care strategies utilizing order writing privileges.
  • Collaborating on nutritional assessments and the formulation of individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Tracking patient progress, maintaining documentation, and providing nutrition education to patients, healthcare staff, dietetic interns, and the broader community.
  • Adapting medical nutritional therapy standards to accommodate the unique needs of patients across all age groups, considering their weight, medical conditions, and social/cultural contexts.
  • Engaging in the design and assessment of patient food services to enhance nutritional intake and satisfaction while ensuring compliance with dietary and medical nutrition therapy standards.
  • Developing, maintaining, and reviewing policies, programs, and processes to ensure high-quality nutrition care.
Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm; occasional weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition with completion of a supervised practice/internship in dietetics.
  • Must hold registration as a Dietitian and be licensed in the state of Minnesota within five months of hire.
Compensation: $30-$35/hour
