Job Overview

The Clinical Dietitian plays a vital role in delivering in-patient nutritional care across various departments where dietary support is essential. The responsibilities include:
  • Conducting comprehensive nutritional evaluations, including physical assessments focused on nutrition.
  • Creating and executing tailored nutrition care strategies utilizing order writing authority.
  • Supporting the nutritional evaluation, formulation, and execution of personalized nutrition care strategies.
  • Tracking patient outcomes, maintaining documentation, and providing nutrition education to patients, healthcare professionals, dietetic trainees, and the broader community.
  • Integrating medical nutritional therapy standards with individual patient characteristics such as age, weight, medical conditions, and social/cultural contexts.
  • Contributing to the design and assessment of patient food services to enhance nutritional intake and patient satisfaction while ensuring compliance with dietary and medical nutrition therapy standards.
  • Developing, sustaining, and reviewing programs, policies, and improvement initiatives to guarantee exceptional nutrition care.
Work Commitment: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours weekly

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; occasional weekends and holidays

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition along with supervised practice/internship in dietetics.
  • Must hold Registered Dietitian status and be licensed in the state of Minnesota within five months of starting employment.
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour
