About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Corporate Travel Management. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue through the development and execution of strategic sales plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a territory plan to generate new business and expand existing relationships
  • Prospect, cold call, qualify, and close new business opportunities
  • Grow the Northeast territory and increase revenue
  • Drive value in medium to long sales cycles and non-RFP opportunities
  • Develop and articulate CTM's value proposition for potential customers
  • Build and maintain relationships at the C-level within small to mid-sized organizations
  • Sell to committees with multiple stakeholders and influencers
  • Manage and develop the pipeline to meet the quota established by the General Manager
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, industry changes, and competitive positioning
  • Represent the organization at local and regional business travel industry events
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Direct and indirect reports, including performance management, hiring, training, coaching, feedback, development, etc.
  • Model the way for employees and set a positive example by demonstrating our core values
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support team member growth by working with employees and encouraging growth plans
  • Drive employee engagement and facilitate regular conversations about employee engagement
Requirements
  • College degree and minimum of 10 years of work experience in B2B sales with proven ability to meet or exceed quota
  • Demonstrated prior success in selling corporate travel is preferred
  • Experience in consultative, solution-based selling
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close accounts
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a virtual team
