Territory Account Executive
Role Overview:
The Territory Account Executive (TAE) plays a pivotal role in supporting the Strategic Account Executive (SAE) by addressing key account challenges within the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Strategic Account Executives (both internal and external) and fellow TAEs to tackle regional issues related to national accounts.
- Enhance the performance of non-implemented business through effective account tracking and database management.
- Facilitate communication with sales leaders and account managers to strategize and target business opportunities.
- Monitor and implement cost-saving initiatives within strategic accounts, providing sales support to SAEs in the region.
- Present national initiatives to regional sales teams, overseeing the implementation phases and reporting progress as necessary.
- Assist SAEs in organizing regional and national conference calls to align on business strategies.
- Serve as a regional resource for information regarding national accounts, providing background research to SAEs for informed decision-making.
- Manage price adjustments and verifications for national accounts to optimize regional impact.
- Collaborate with regional customer service teams and branches to maintain the integrity of national account data and agreements.
- Engage with local account managers to report on national account participation within the territory.
- Support larger multi-state regional clients in directed sales efforts.
- Coordinate with the Business Support Center and national data integrity teams to assist all regional and national accounts.
- Work with Accounts Receivable to enhance collection efforts.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years of industry experience is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong skills in SAP are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Possess a positive attitude adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the product mix is beneficial.
- Ability to understand strategic pricing and technical bids.
- Capability to set and achieve personal and team goals.
- Proficient in multitasking and establishing effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Work Environment:
Employees may be required to remain stationary for extended periods, including sitting in a vehicle for long durations. Occasional traversal through office and/or manufacturing locations may be necessary. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and operation of motor vehicles is required. Lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds may be necessary on occasion.
