RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kimberly-Clark is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to become a part of our North America Marketing Services team.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of three procurement specialists dedicated to strategic sourcing within the Marketing Services sectors.

Your leadership will guide the formulation of category strategies and the execution of local initiatives. You will play a crucial role in supporting North America operations to meet working capital and financial objectives.

This position encompasses category management for K-C's expenditures primarily in Consumer Promotions, Name Acquisition, and Promotional Marketing Partnerships.

You will cultivate category knowledge and offer insights to regional teams, focusing on stakeholder requirements, data integrity, and service evaluation.

Your role will involve Supplier Relationship Management, fostering partnerships with key suppliers and executives at K-C, ensuring optimal value from expenditures.

Additionally, you will establish robust stakeholder connections by providing marketing insights and actively involving stakeholders in procurement activities.

In this role you will:

  • Direct the NA Marketing Services team managing an annual budget of $200MM.
  • Be accountable for achieving regional procurement objectives for designated categories.
  • Guide the Marketing Services team in crafting category strategies and executing local initiatives.
  • Implement category strategies and plans developed by the Global Category Lead.
  • Manage local supplier relationships within specific focus areas.
  • Contribute to regional category strategies based on market trends, supplier dynamics, and business requirements.
  • Assist in regional sourcing events in collaboration with Agile Squads.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives for the category.
  • Coordinate with regional business stakeholders regarding category needs and strategies.
  • Oversee region-specific supplier relationships and address any continuity issues.
  • Lead the implementation of global category strategic initiatives in the region.
  • Develop and maintain category management knowledge and processes to ensure strategies remain relevant and informed.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and initiate reviews as necessary to enhance performance and mitigate risks.
  • Build trust and credibility with suppliers through integrity, commitment, and a results-oriented approach.

The successful candidate will join the NA Procurement team and report to the NA Procurement Sr. Manager, Marketing & Professional Services. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this position, you will need the following qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in business, supply chain, or a related field * 5+ years of experience in Procurement, with a preference for category management experience * 3+ years of experience in people management * Strong skills in project management, process enhancement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving * Proven ability to establish resource networks and build relationships.

* Business acumen, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), capable of engaging across the organization, cross-functional collaboration & influence, project management, analytical skills, and functional awareness.

This role supports North America and requires readiness to travel to engage with stakeholders and suppliers as necessary.
