Overview
The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships is accountable for 1) Fostering and sustaining robust connections with distribution collaborators and clientele 2) Enhancing sales avenues to optimize market reach and profitability and 3) Executing creative sales methodologies that will propel substantial and quantifiable revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader capable of utilizing a blend of skills, characteristics, and experiences to drive sales and cultivate enduring customer relationships. This individual must also acquire a comprehensive understanding of the products and services they represent and possess a strong ability to actively listen and comprehend customer requirements. This role will engage across various sectors, evaluating customer insights, pinpointing challenges, and driving enhancements across all Jewelers Mutual initiatives. They are expected to collaborate closely with JM leadership at both the executive and profit-and-loss levels to strategically influence the foundation, priorities, and vision for JM within the jewelry sector.

Key Responsibilities include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Oversee an efficient sales pipeline that identifies key strategic alliances, guides them effectively through the deal process, and maximizes the long-term potential of each partnership.
  • Create visually appealing presentation materials for our product offerings that align with customer challenges and emphasize ease-of-use and simplicity.
  • Develop key customer relationships by addressing their concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market analysis and remain informed about industry trends, competitor actions, and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to engage with customers (Product, Technology, Marketing, etc.) to address industry challenges, identify innovative solutions, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Acquire extensive knowledge of all jeweler solutions, including personal jewelry insurance programs, Luxsurance, JM Care Plan, JM Shipping Solution, JM Appraisal Solution, Loss Prevention, and any new products offered through the JM portfolio.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic business plans for both organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop revenue models and perform financial analysis of new business opportunities.
  • Provide training and mentorship to members of the business development team.

Qualifications
  • Experience with selling and marketing to large clients ($1B+ in revenue).
  • Ability to engage customers with an authentic personal brand and communicate narratives that resonate and excite our partners.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Operates with a bias toward action with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Detail-oriented and metrics-focused with demonstrated ability to build new business relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Expert understanding of service and product, with the ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
  • Innate drive to succeed and take initiative.
  • The ability to travel to meet clients, attend conferences, and research new markets as needed.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated success and experience in business development and management preferred.
  • Property/casualty insurance, financial services, and/or jewelry industry experience is desired, but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls; and talk or hear.
