Job Title: Lead Tax Accountant


Location: Remote


Compensation: $60,000 - $68,000 annually


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file business and individual tax returns, leveraging a strong command of QuickBooks Desktop & Online.
  • Manage year-end and quarterly workpapers, primarily utilizing QuickBooks, and potentially oversee compilations with detailed reports.
  • Address payroll and sales tax compliance matters, ensuring accurate reporting and resolution.
  • Engage with clients to convey complex tax and financial concepts in clear, comprehensible language.
  • Apply expertise in UltraTax and Thompson Reuters systems to optimize service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax accounting.
  • CPA, EA, or MSA credentials preferred.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop & Online.
  • Experience in preparing business and individual tax returns.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and sales tax compliance issues and reporting requirements.
