Job Summary:

This is a dynamic role for a Regional Insurance Sales Agent to oversee and grow business in an assigned sales region. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.

The primary emphasis of this role is on health insurance, workers' compensation, farm packages, and agribusiness commercial policies. As a self-motivated professional, you will manage an established territory, focus on building new business while nurturing existing relationships, and directly contribute to the growth of a key territory.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive new business sales in property & casualty and health insurance lines, achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Meet with business owners, cooperative members, and prospects to assess their needs and present tailored insurance solutions through on-site and farm visits.
  • Partner with internal Account Executives and Account Managers to ensure a seamless sales process and provide exceptional client service.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for client acquisition and retention, staying informed of market trends to remain competitive.
  • Actively participate in local events and engage in community leadership to build brand awareness and foster relationships.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, communications, and progress through company-provided technology.
  • Stay up-to-date on all regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring all activities align with industry standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience, with a focus on insurance or business development. Experience selling group health insurance is strongly preferred.
  • Agricultural background or familiarity with rural communities is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a property & casualty insurance license within 90 days of hire and a life/health insurance license within 30 days.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively (75-100%).

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
