Job Summary:

The Sales Director at Hawke Media will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategies and driving revenue growth. This is a leadership position that requires a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans in collaboration with the Executive Team.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of best practices in cold calling, objection handling, and sales tactics.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and one-on-one meetings with sales team members to enhance communication and performance.
  • Manage the Sales Managers and Sales Operations team, focusing on quarterly projects aimed at improving sales efficiency.
  • Analyze sales data to forecast performance, identify new market opportunities, and optimize profitability.
  • Report on sales performance to company leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and aligning our services accordingly.
  • Utilize HubSpot CRM to lead the sales process, track performance metrics, and ensure consistent reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Partnerships, and Services teams to source high-quality leads and drive business growth.
  • Represent the company at external conferences and meetings to generate new opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage the sales budget, monitoring expenses to ensure they align with company goals.
  • Lead the development of sales presentations and proposals, effectively communicating our value propositions.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Manager, directly managing a team of sales professionals at various levels.
  • High volume/high activity sales experience, ideally within a startup or growth environment.
  • Experience in Digital Marketing, Martech, or similar sales environments.
  • Proven experience managing a geographically dispersed sales team.
  • Demonstrated success in creating sales development processes, including prospecting strategies, sales playbooks, and onboarding programs.
  • Proficient in using HubSpot CRM, Excel, and similar tools for reporting and analytics.
Skills:
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a strong track record in negotiation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish, with strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing sales professionals.
  • Current knowledge of prospecting and cold outreach best practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand digital marketing services, particularly Hawke Media's offerings.
  • Innovative and strategic thinker, capable of developing client-focused, differentiated solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and manage sales staff.
  • Oversee the schedules, territories, and performance of the sales team.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policy.
