Role Overview

In this role, you will have the opportunity to guide a team of professionals in assessing, developing, integrating, and implementing project control systems that facilitate the management and oversight of construction engineering projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyze commercially available Project Management Information System (PMIS) platforms to inform selection decisions.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a PMIS platform tailored for managing intricate construction projects on a global scale.
  • Establish and define workflows within the PMIS platform to ensure alignment with Micron's operational processes for project management.
  • Offer technical and administrative support, guidance, and training to PMIS users and associated contractors.
  • Foster collaborative relationships, identify opportunities for contribution, and engage team members as needed.
  • Conduct ongoing audits to maintain data integrity and pursue continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the IT department to ensure that the PMIS platform's design and customization meet Micron's operational requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the implementation of PMIS systems such as Oracle Primavera Unifier, e-Builder, or Procore.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in sectors such as semiconductor, data center, oil/gas/petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, or similar manufacturing industries.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in business analysis, system architecture, and project management of large-scale application or IT infrastructure projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.

Essential Skills

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in report and business intelligence visualization development using tools like SSRS, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Extensive experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis.
  • Knowledge of computer, communications, and application technologies relevant to the engineering and construction sectors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective negotiation and consensus-building capabilities.
