Position Overview
This role involves conducting and supervising a variety of laboratory tests and procedures as designated.
Job Responsibilities
Memorial Hermann TMC is in search of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) on a supplemental basis. This position will require coverage during weekends and weekdays as necessary.
Flexibility is essential, as attendance for three days of orientation during the initial week of employment is required.
Certification from ASCP or AMT is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences (Equivalency Required for Foreign Education)

Licenses/Certifications:
Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International), Certified CLS (ASCP), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International)

Eligibility for Certification:

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences AND successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program within the last five years; or MLT(ASCP) certification with two years of full-time acceptable laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada, or an accredited laboratory within the last four years; or CLA (ASCP) Certification with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and four years of full-time acceptable experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada, or an accredited laboratory within the last eight years; or five years of full-time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada, or an accredited laboratory within the last ten years.
