Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and collecting high-quality specimens for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood and non-blood specimens from patients of all ages, ensuring proper labeling and processing.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including phlebotomy devices and computers, to collect and process specimens.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory policies.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care and laboratory testing.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy training or experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, with the ability to learn laboratory software and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient care and laboratory excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory experience, with a focus on phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) or equivalent.
