Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood and non-blood specimens from patients of all ages, ensuring proper labeling and processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including phlebotomy devices and computers, to collect and process specimens.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory policies.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care and laboratory testing.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy training or experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills, with the ability to learn laboratory software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient care and laboratory excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of laboratory experience, with a focus on phlebotomy and specimen collection.
  • Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians (ASPT) or equivalent.
