Position Overview

The Electrification Coalition (EC) is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit advocacy organization dedicated to advancing policies and initiatives that promote the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). Our mission is to reduce the nation's reliance on oil, which poses risks to economic stability, environmental health, and national security by advocating for the electrification of transportation.

Position: Campaigns Intern

Location: Remote

Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States

Compensation: $18 per hour

Hours: 20 hours per week

Commitment: Minimum of 3 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Engagement: Stay informed about emerging policies and innovations related to transportation electrification.
  • Outreach: Conduct outreach to relevant groups to support policy objectives.
  • Representation: Attend events to represent the EC and its initiatives, fostering relationships with stakeholders.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing various events, including press conferences and public panels.
  • Online Community Building: Enhance the EC's online presence through social media and email communication.
  • Departmental Support: Provide assistance to the state policy team and other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Capacity to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Research proficiency.
  • Experience in administrative support and meeting coordination.
  • Familiarity with tracking program progress and stakeholder engagement.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Some college coursework or a degree.
  • Editing and proofreading experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with tools like WordPress or Canva.
  • Flexible scheduling capabilities.
