INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Interns at ONE engage in a collaborative and innovative atmosphere, working towards the shared mission of eradicating extreme poverty and preventable diseases. INTERNSHIP DETAILS

The internship is designed to provide an exceptional learning experience. Interns will:

  • Acquire knowledge of financial operations and global audit preparations.
  • Support the annual budgeting process for an international organization.
  • Learn best practices in financial management specific to non-profit entities.
  • Gain insights into intercompany cost-sharing agreements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Senior Finance and Accounting Manager with month-end closing and recurring financial analyses.
  • Support daily accounting functions and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
  • Help manage accounts payable and perform credit card reconciliations.
  • Conduct data entry and maintain precise records of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare necessary financial and operational documentation for the global audit.
  • Assist in reviewing departmental budgets using ONE's financial planning software.
  • Consolidate and maintain budgeting spreadsheets for the organizational budget exercise.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required by the Finance team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance or Accounting, with a focus on quantitative or analytical studies. Previous experience is not necessary as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Interest in poverty alleviation, infectious disease control, advocacy, and policy issues related to ONE's mission.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work as approved by management. Specific in-office days may be determined by team schedules and business needs.
