Position Overview:

The HBCU Program Administrator will report directly to the Director of the HBCU Program, providing essential programmatic, administrative, and technical assistance to the HBCU Program, a key initiative of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. This role will also support various significant programmatic efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administrative and logistical components of the HBCU Program.
  • Collaborate in the development of the HBCU Program newsletter.
  • Assist with financial responsibilities, including expense reporting, check requests, reimbursements, and budget management.
  • Coordinate meetings for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Manage vendor and consultant administrative processes.
  • Maintain a calendar of HBCU Program events and training sessions.
  • Respond to external inquiries regarding the HBCU Program and available resources.
  • Develop and refresh web and social media content for the HBCU Program.
  • Compile reports and program updates for various stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings with stakeholders and advisory groups.
  • Support the planning and execution of training initiatives.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with service providers related to training.
  • Monitor program email communications and ensure timely, accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in an administrative role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HTML for website management is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating a strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • A positive, proactive attitude is crucial.
  • Exceptional attention to detail along with outstanding organizational, task management, and time management skills are required.
  • Capability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Adobe products and rapid e-learning tools is a plus.
  • A personal commitment to LGBTQ+ rights, as well as racial and gender justice, is required.

All positions at the Human Rights Campaign may involve regular or occasional travel. When business travel is necessary, appropriate compensation as outlined by the Fair Labor Standards Act will be provided.
