Role Summary:

We are looking for an Associate to support our Issue Campaigns division. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience, contextual understanding, and robust project management skills. Successful candidates will have a proven history in campaign work, organizing, or mobilizing grassroots efforts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist client teams with overall project management, including note-taking, scheduling, agenda development, and responding to client inquiries.
  • Monitor and evaluate analytics; prepare comprehensive reports and memoranda, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development, execution, and assessment of strategic and tactical campaign plans.
  • Engage with clients to discuss strategy, priorities, and approaches.
  • Support the planning and coordination of events, including logistics, registrations, and on-site assistance.
  • Help achieve the organizational objectives of the Issue Campaigns practice area.
  • Provide internal and external support as required.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in issue campaigns, organizing, or grassroots movements.
  • Preferred candidates will have strong connections to organizations, foundations, and nonprofits advocating for marginalized communities, particularly those serving Black and Latinx populations.
  • In-depth understanding of both national and local political landscapes.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive written materials quickly.
  • Proven project coordination abilities across multiple tasks with various components.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Experience in a political or public policy context is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $60,000 annually, based on experience and location.
