Lead Media Strategist – Corporate Staffing:

*In-office position, 4 days per week*

DeBellis Catherine & Morreale is on the lookout for a Lead Media Strategist to enhance our dynamic media team. This role will involve orchestrating media planning initiatives alongside the Senior Media Manager. The Lead Media Strategist will engage effectively with clients, internal account teams, and media partners.

As a key contributor, you will identify innovative, transformative strategies to address client business challenges through comprehensive media plans. You will directly support the Senior Media Manager in their leadership roles across all advertising, marketing, and business activities for assigned accounts. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in crafting, developing, and executing cross-channel media strategies, with a keen attention to detail to ensure deliverables are client-ready and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Media Planning & Strategy - 25%
  1. Develop proposals for paid media initiatives across the client portfolio
  2. Create and present media-specific documents, including RFPs, media plans, and strategic presentations
  3. Analyze proposals, negotiate with partners, and finalize insertion orders
  4. Maintain communication with vendors, update internal status documents, and oversee team deliverables
  • Media Strategy & Oversight - 25%
  1. Explore new and emerging opportunities in paid media and apply insights effectively
  2. Oversee and complete financial tracking documents for both internal teams and clients
  3. Manage Quality Assurance (QA) across all deliverables to identify and resolve issues
  4. Educate on best practices and principles within the media industry
  5. Collaborate with the AdOps team to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution
  • Campaign Management - 20%
  1. Maintain proficiency in internal buying and reporting tools, including platform interfaces
  2. Assist AdOps in managing campaign assets such as creative materials and tracking tags
  3. Generate insertion orders within internal systems to secure advertising space
  4. Coordinate with the Social Team for Paid Social campaign setups
  • Relationship Management - 10%
  1. Proactively address requests and inquiries from internal teams
  2. Maintain active communication with internal client teams to manage timelines
  3. Build relationships with other internal departments (e.g., Account Team, AdOps, Analytics)
  4. Participate in larger team projects under the guidance of the Supervisor
  5. Oversee Media Planner/Buyer and Associate roles, delegating tasks and ensuring their professional growth
  • Reporting - 10%
  1. Monitor campaign pacing and optimizations daily across the client portfolio
  2. Generate performance insights and recommendations in collaboration with the Analytics team
  3. Manage reporting on campaign performance and communicate any issues to team managers
  • Learning & Development - 10%
  1. Engage in agency learning sessions and vendor meetings
  2. Participate in internal training opportunities (e.g., Facebook Blueprint, Google AdWords)

Qualifications:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent in marketing, advertising, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in media planning and/or buying
  • Strong presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Experience managing inter-departmental coordination
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with industry media planning tools is preferred
  • Understanding of digital advertising is advantageous

Compensation Range: $80k-$95k/year Depending on Experience
