Position Overview


The Social Media Marketing Strategist is a pivotal role that engages directly with clients, tasked with the management and implementation of social media marketing initiatives for entertainment projects.

This role encompasses the formulation of strategic plans for multiple entertainment projects simultaneously, managing postings on official websites and social media platforms on behalf of the productions, as well as conducting analysis and reporting, campaign organization, and advertising management.

The position entails leadership responsibilities, guiding team members towards achieving both personal and professional development.

Collaboration with the Social Media Manager and the Influencer Marketing Group is essential to bolster the company's social media marketing efforts.

The position reports to the Social Media Manager and may occasionally provide updates to the CEO of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Proposals:

  • Oversee and direct the creation of client proposals for social media initiatives.
  • Work alongside the Social Media Manager and the Influencer Marketing Group to develop compelling and effective proposals.
  • Ensure that proposals align with client objectives and expectations.

Strategic Planning & Campaign Execution:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to devise impactful, results-oriented social media marketing strategies for entertainment projects.
  • Lead, plan, and implement social media campaigns, engaging all necessary parties to ensure successful outcomes that meet client objectives.
  • Coordinate with the Advertising Division to optimize advertising strategies within the overall campaign framework.

Development & Implementation of Submission Plans:

  • Formulate submission plans for social media campaigns and guide the team in their execution.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across various online platforms and social media channels.
  • Interact with users and respond to inquiries, messages, and comments on social media.
  • Ensure that submission plans are executed with efficiency and effectiveness.

Content Creation:

  • Generate, curate, and disseminate content across multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Create and manage content for various production websites concurrently, representing the productions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to produce engaging and high-quality content for social media campaigns.

Performance Analysis:

  • Gather and evaluate data related to social media marketing campaigns to monitor performance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of web presence, social media accounts, public perception, competition, and other relevant factors.
  • Utilize insights from analysis to refine social media marketing strategies and campaigns.

Client Reporting:

  • Independently prepare social media performance reports for clients, leveraging available resources such as team insights and project data.
  • Present findings to clients, communicating results clearly and effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead the Social Media Account Management Group, collaborating with team members on daily operations and providing coaching as needed.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members, offering guidance and monitoring progress.
  • Cultivate a positive team environment, ensuring team members are engaged, motivated, and aligned with the organization's values and goals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media project management, either in-house or at an agency.
  • 4-5 years of experience leading a team within a Japanese entertainment-related organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and the current entertainment landscape.
  • Active user of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) both personally and professionally.
  • Passionate about and knowledgeable in Japanese Anime/Manga.
  • Proficient in computer applications: Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation.

Preferred:

  • Strong supervisory and management capabilities; highly organized with excellent time and resource management skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively and independently to pressure or emergencies, taking initiative to resolve issues.
  • Flexible, creative, and comfortable working collaboratively or independently as required.
  • Proficiency in speaking and reading Japanese.
