Job Summary

The YWCA of Western Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intake Coordinator/Lead Visit Monitor to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating supervised visitations between parents and their children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Intake
    • Schedule and conduct in-person orientations, phone intakes, and arrange for site tours and interviews with children prior to first visit.
    • Ensure parties are referred to external resources for domestic violence, batterer's intervention, counseling, and financial assistance as necessary.
  • Visit Monitoring
    • Monitor supervised visits at our centers, ensuring compliance with center rules and policies.
    • Model appropriate parenting behavior and encourage healthy parent-child relationships/interactions.
    • Communicate in a timely manner with the Direct Care Supervisor on any incidents and issues.
  • Conflict Resolution and Risk Assessment
    • Ability to resolve conflict using de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed skills.
    • Conduct risk assessments as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Input all new client intakes and goals into our database within 48 hours.
    • Assist with setup and closing of visitation rooms.
Requirements
  • A.A. or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience in human services and criminal justice field.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills preferred.
  • Prior experience working with survivors of violence and/or those who have perpetrated violence in an intimate partner relationship preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of child development and impact of domestic violence on children preferred.
  • Understanding of both interpersonal and structural racism and bias required.
  • Bilingual-Spanish (basic) preferred.
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
