Job Summary

The Scheduling Coordinator is a vital member of our team at Caring Health Center, responsible for coordinating the physician's schedule, NP/PA schedule, device schedule, and patient schedule. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless coordination and scheduling of appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient medical visits per established procedures, confirming appointments, canceling appointments, and notifying staff of appointment changes.
  • Review schedules regularly to ensure proper slot utilization and increase opportunities for patient access, discussing scheduling conflicts or problems with supervisors and offering solutions to improve.
  • Continuously monitor schedule and provide updates throughout the day, generating and utilizing wait lists and rescheduling patient appointments as needed.
  • Manage appointment work queue requests to ensure continuity of care, providing direct support to the medical practice manager and handling scheduling requests.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of data entry of patient information into the computer, including various patient information and relevant insurance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Previous experience with medical scheduling.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual, capable, sensitive, and articulate in conversational interpretation.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer literate in basic applications and data entry.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
